Community assistance program

One of the founding principles of the Ruritan organization is simple: serve the community and improve the quality of life for our neighbors. 

The Mountain View Ruritan Club is proud to assist individuals, families, and community organizations throughout our area when needs arise. Through volunteer service, fundraising, and community partnerships, we work to identify opportunities where we can make a meaningful difference. 

Need Help? Know Someone Who Does? 

We understand that asking for help can be difficult. That's why all request and nominations submitted through this form are treated with respect and confidentiality. 

You may: 

Request assistance for yourself

Nominate a friend, neighbor, veteran, senior citizen, family member, or community member in need

Suggest a community project that would benefit the greater community. 

You do not need to be a member of the Ruritan Club to submit a request. 

What Types of Projects Can We Help With? 

Every request is reviewed individually, and assistance depends on available volunteers, resources, funding, and project scope. 

Examples of projects may include: 

• Minor home repairs
• Accessibility improvements such as ramps or handrails 
• Yard cleanup and property beautification
• Assistance for elderly or disabled residents
• Community improvement projects
• Support for local schools, churches, and nonprofit organizations
• Emergency assistance efforts following storms or disasters
• Special projects that improve the quality of life within our community 

How the Process Works

Submit a confidential request or nomination.

• A small committee of Mountain View Ruritan Club members will review the information. 
• We may contact the individual listed for additional information if needed. 
• The club will determine whether we have the volunteers, resources, or funding available to assist. 
• If approved, we will work directly with the individual or family to coordinate the project. 

Please note that submitting a request does not guarantee assistance. Our ability to help depends on available resources and volunteer support. 

Confidentiality 

We understand that circumstances can be personal and sensitive. Information submitted through this form will only be shared with those directly involved in evaluating and coordinating assistance. We respect the privacy and dignity of every individual we serve.
